Hello Victory Outreach Whittier Church Family,

In light of the recent concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19), we want you to know that our staff are actively monitoring the situation and taking every precaution possible.  Our responsibility during this time is to prioritize the health and well-being of our church community and support our local health and government officials as they work to contain the virus.

This message is to help bring clarity in regard to our gatherings during this time. Currently, our gatherings will continue as planned with the following exceptions:

  • If you or your children are feeling unwell, please rest at home.
  • If you are at high-risk (which includes: older adults, people who have serious chronic medical conditions, etc.)
  • If you feel at this time you’d rather stay home, please feel free to do so.

If you are unable to attend our services:

  • You are welcome to join us online. Visit our Victory Outreach Whittier YouTube page to watch our livestream services at 9am, 11am or 1pm.
  • Please continue to honor the Lord in the area of your tithes, offerings and our pledge “Heart for the House.” You may do this in one of the following ways:
    • Through our Victory Outreach Whittier app (click on “give). If you do not have our app, you can download it on the app store or google play.
    • Visit victoryoutreachwhittier.org and click on the “giving” tab on the top right.

THIS SUNDAY WE WILL BE HAVING 3 SERVICES TO CHOOSE FROM: 9AM, 11AM & 1PM. WE WILL NOT BE HAVING OUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED “SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE” SERVICE AT 6PM.

The following are steps we have taken to help prevent virus contamination:

  • We have enhanced our cleaning procedures and have cleaned all restrooms, high touch surfaces including door handles, handrails, faucets, and common spaces and will continue to do so before, during and after our gatherings. As well as all children’s ministry classroom areas and toys.
  • We will have hand sanitizer available throughout our facility along with making sure all restrooms are fully stocked with hand soap.
  • We will be waving instead of shaking hands.

We are committed to keeping our church a clean space for you to worship. We are in this together. Here are ways you can help:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water.
  • Cover coughs or sneezes with a tissue. If you are feeling unwell, please feel free to stay home and get some rest.
  • Disinfect belongings you bring to church from your home, like diaper bags, blankets, etc.

At Victory Outreach Kidz G.A.N.G., we regularly ask moms and dads to keep their children at home if they are sick. Children will also be taken in groups upon check-in to wash their hands before they participate in class.

Let’s keep our trust in the Lord our Healer! We have wonderful promises in God’s word of His protection over our well-being like Psalm 91:10 “No plague will come near your home.”

We love our church family and pray for you daily. Don’t allow this to get you so wound up that you lose sight of God, who is amazing and never out of control. Let’s choose faith over fear and pray for those impacted by this and continue to follow health guidelines outlined by the CDC. We will continue to update you with any developments via email, text or social media.

God bless you,

Victory Outreach Whittier
