Blog: “The Best is Yet to Come” by Linda Oliva
Type of Fast: Liquids all day until 6PM
Target: Restoration for backsliders
I am looking forward to seeing the blessings of God manifested and seeing how he is able to provide an outcome to my prayers. I love God with all my heart and know for certain that “The best is yet to come.” The bible tells us in Job 42:12 that “The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the first.”
This tells me there is greater expectations on my part in seeing God’s Will for my life just get better and better. During my time of Prayer and Fasting I placed before God so many things that I need a breakthrough in, like the Salvations of my children and each one coming into a relationship with God are one of my highest prayer request. I carry many, many other prayers before the Lord that will take a miracle for them to come to pass.
Being a mother has more than its share of prayer requests to God, and then you have even more with the grandchildren. It seems like we might have to extend the 40 day period to 80 days just to cover all the requests that seem to be urgent; where an answer is needed right away.
But I count it all joy to know my God isn’t done with me, as in Job’s life, he had to endure much; where much was given back. I believe in God for my Miracle and know that he is perfect in his timing and what he wants to do. I can’t allow myself to sit by and do nothing; I must pray more and fast more if I am expecting my breakthrough.
I must admit, it hasn’t been easy to wait on God.
The prophet Isaiah writes in Isaiah 40:31
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
In learning to wait on God my strength is renewed more and more during prayer and fasting, I encourage you mothers and grandmothers not to give up fighting for your miracles of God to come. The bible promises us victory and declares us to be overcomers.
You might feel like the burden of carrying the load gets extra heavy at times or you may encounter opposition that makes you feel like stopping what you are doing for God; but know this “That the Best is Yet To Come”
You may feel tempted to compromise for your son or daughter because you love them dearly; but God has placed us in the role as mothers to make a difference. Hold fast to the promises of God and he will deliver……
